2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO

Ducati will be unveiling the 2012 Monster 1100 EVO at the New York International Motorcycle Show (IMS). This new model will be the new flagship for the air-cooled Monster family and sales will begin in the Summer 2011 at a price of $11,995.

The 2012 Ducati Monster 110 EVO is powered by a 100 HP Desmodue Evoluzione engine - the most powerful air cooled Ducati ever. The new 1100 EVO is offered with the new "Ducati Safety Pack", a simple and effective combination of adjustable Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and ABS brakes designed to aid rider safety. Also the new APTC wet clutch which ensures quiet operation and long life will be on the equipment list.

The new APTC wet clutch works with a race-like ‘slipper’ system which reduces the destabilizing effect of the rear-end under aggressive down-shifting, and compared with other wet clutch used so far by Ducati, features an additional cush-drive damper mechanism which smoothes the repeated transition from drive to over-run during stop-start traffic.

2011 Harley Davidson Blackline

Harley-Davidson may already boast of a huge following, but one market that’s still ripe for the American original’s picking is the younger demographic that prefers the thrill of riding in bikes over the confines of a four-door sedan.

On that note, the motorcycle company has introduced their new Blackline motorcycle as part of their Dark Custom line-up.

The Blackline is powered by an internally counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B V-Twin engine rigid-mounted within the frame, mated to a six-speed Cruise Drive transmission with a smooth and low fuel tank. The bikes instrumentation is compact with the chopped fender and the narrow, split drag handlebar being designed in such a way that the bike’s sleek and slender built give off a sexy yet powerful appearance. Sort of like how Harley’s are best described.

The Blackline’s Softail chassis uses a rear-suspension control that’s provided by coil-over shock absorbers found below the bike’s powertrain. While its look may deceive us to think that the bike has a nostalgic look to it, its performance is anything but.

A host of other elements found in the Harley-Davidson Blackline include a horseshoe-shaped oil tank dressed in black and inspired by the 1936 ELsmooth. The bike also rides on 21 x 2.15 inch front wheels and 16 x 3 inch rear wheels, wrapped around Dunlop D402 MH90-21 front tires and Dunlop MU85B16 rear tires.

It may not scream of the bombastic and intimidating nature of bigger Harleys, but the Blackline does possess characteristics that make it an all-original Harley Davidson. Slender and powerful at the same time, the Harley-Davidson Blackline is the perfect bike for the thrill-seeking renegade in all of us.

2011 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere

It’s a little strange, but true. Yamaha has announced the addition of a new color to their XT1200Z Super Tenere: Competition White. It’s not a new cycle by any means, but we guess purists will love the idea. This new snowy motorcycle will go on sale later this spring, but potential buyers can check it and other Yamaha bikes in Yamaha dealership right now. It seems the bike manufacturer has taken customers’ requests to heart and sent out a number of demonstrator XT1200Z Super Ténérés to dealerships for the customers’ review. This will enable riders to experience the versatile and exciting 1200cc parallel twin Adventure motorcycle for themselves.

Using the evocative Yamaha racing livery on the most contemporary motorcycle in the Yamaha stable, this model’s graphic treatment clearly celebrates the company’s 50 years in racing. The company’s adventure heritage was recently underpinned by Helder Rodregez, who secured a very brave 3rd position in the 2011 Dakar rally on his WR450F.

The 2011 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere comes with traction control, ABS, and a linked braking system. For the 2011 model year, customers will not have to place a reservation on the internet as they have had to do in the past, making the purchase of this bike that much more pleasant.

2011 MV Agusta F4 1078 RR 312 Edizione Finale

MV Agusta has released a special edition F4 in order to celebrate the end of a beautiful and very successful model. Called F4 1078 RR 312 Edizione Finale, this special edition will be limited to only 30 units, each of them marked by their custom quilted leather saddle and special identification plaque.

This special edition is built on the 1078 RR 312 version and comes equipped with a 1078cc engine that delivers an impressive 190 HP and 91.4lb/ft of torque. The motorcycle comes equipped with Brembo Monoblock radial calipers; after all you’ll be needing them as the bike can hit an impressive top speed of 194 mph.

Just as a reminder, back in 2010 MV Agusta revealed another special edition F4. This time is was called "Frecce Tricolori" and was limited to only 11 units.

Its true the bike in incredible beautiful, but it has one big problem: it comes in limited numbers!
